Invicta Phoenix 400km Audax

The organisers of the Oasts and Coasts 300km are pleased to introduce The Invicta Phoenix 400km Paris Brest Paris qualifying ride out and back across The Weald and up The Downs to the finish. The ride refers to our experiences of former West Kent CTC Invicta series events.

The GPX files

Please ensure you download the correct file for your navigation device and test it before the ride starts. Newer Garmin Edge and Wahoo devices should use the TCX file. Olders Garmins should use the GPX track file. Some older units have a trackpoint limit, hence the 500 track point file below. The files below are zip files that need unpacking to reveal the GPX file.

There is additional information about the route in the organiser's notes and routesheet, including cautions and food outlets between the controls. It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the route and any reported hazards before you start, especially as none of this information is included in the GPS files!

The GPX files have waypoints loaded to indicate control points. There are NO INFO CONTROLS. In this audax there are two types of control:
- Proof of passage - obtain a timed and dated receipt showing the control town name.
- Manned control - a member of the organiser's team will stamp your brevet card.

196kmPetersfield. Proof of passage - McDonald's, Wild Bean Cafe or shop in town centre
285kmLewes. Proof of passage - Tesco Extra, Tesco fuel station, BP fuel station or Cashpoints
346kmRye. Manned control - Rye Scout Hall. Hot food provided.
426kmCyclopark. Proof of passage - Shell garage with Subway outlet.
Cyclopark. Manned control after 8am.

This event is a BRM (Brevet de Randonneurs Mondiaux) PBP (Paris Brest Paris) 2019 qualifier.
